Sweat!

Well, I actually HAD a park but it was behind the building.
I was minding my own business, carrying the tray of eggs in my hand (and cans of pineapple in my bag) back to the car when I heard the sound of a motorcycle and I felt my bag hitting my ribs on the right. There was an older Chinese man standing not 3 feet from me saying, “You have to be careful, he was trying to rob you!”
That young Indian fart (he looked quite young) had the cheek to turn back and look if I fell or something. If only my reflexes kicked in earlier, I should’ve reached for one of the cans in my bag and threw it at him.

So there…my trusty bag. Torn. It was a freebie from Lancome (and it came from mom) but it served me well for YEARS!

Hot day!

Dad wanted some cendol but with everything in, so it became sort of like ais kacang but with santan.

I think it came up to RM4 for each bowl – he wanted to argue with the man but didn’t stop to think he asked for those extra ingredients, of course it’ll be more than what he normally pays for.

Went for dinner at JJKwan’s – she promised pizza and some “simple food”. When she says “simple”, be prepared to be spoilt for choices. I wonder what it’ll be like when she says special?

When she took the candle out to light it, I looked at her thinking, “So hot still want to bother about ambience ah?”…but it turned out she wasn’t mad. It was to keep the green tea warm.

Home made pizza from scratch.
(She also made some English muffins! Too bad I couldn’t eat anymore!)

It was cooler sitting on the patio outside the kitchen. The heat was a bit intense because of the pizza making (delicious, though!).
I told 姐, “I KNOW your pizza tastes delicious but I’m actually more hadap for the 老鼠粉 wor.”

This was actually the night’s main event.

I was catching up with Madeline but I could hear my name being called for rummy – nevermind lah, enough kaki what. These are the local hantu’s that rummy at JJKwan’s till early hours.

Wish days like these would come by more often and last longer.

*sniff*

Don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing to have found the website that YeeWon gave me to watch drama series…then again, it was me being curious and clicking on movies.

Sorry to neglect you where you were around, and being so selfish to want work out of Seremban…but I will remember our time together.

Even though I would like to have a dog to teman me now, I know it’s selfish when I can’t spare that time and I don’t know where I’d be next…and I don’t want the same thing to happen again.

Sandra invited me over for a quick bite of lunch at her place.

My taste buds are slowly changing.

I took beetroot and it tasted like boiled white radish (after it’s been boiled with chicken bones *hehe*) – it was actually quite nice. Very “rooty” though.
I actually took raw tomatoes! And I didn’t squirm or swallow without thoroughly chewing through them. The tomatoes here aren’t as sour/acidic as back home!

And all these came from not wanting to offend the hostess or make both of us feel bad.

However, I got back home and got inspired (and it’s also end of the month already!!!) to make JoFo a card and send off her present.

Carmen sent this to me as I was getting off work – because she’s not feeling well and went ahead into bed early.

Decided to give the Zinger a try.

The problem is found here…chicken breast.
I think the Zinger back home also uses chicken breast now but I remember once upon a time they used the succulent, juicy boneless thigh/drumstick part. Now it’s a tad bit too dry for my liking (does that mean I prefer kai pei now?!!) but it was spicy enough.

When I got home, Carmen told me she brought Lucky to the vet today – and she got spayed.
Look at her goggle eyes…I think she is still groggy at this point.
Poor thing must be feeling confused!

Looking at the pictures and videos, I would still smile/laugh at your expression or at whatever you were doing – running, walking, rolling, playing with your toys, eating durian(!!!).
When the video stops, I sigh and think, “I miss you so much. I wish you were still here.”

Everytime I see a GoldenRetriever, I think of you.
Anytime someone talks about their pet, I talk about you as if you were still in Seremban.
Everytime I think about you, I miss you following me about the house.

I know I’ve written this a lot of times…but I pray that if you’re taken away by someone, they would love you with all their heart. If you’re not around anymore, I hope to see you soon because all dogs go to heaven…right?

You’ve shown me unconditional love. There is no other Brinkley except you.

After four years and four months I realised I’ve been praying for the wrong thing. Instead of worrying about him leaving me, He made me realise I should be more worried about Him ever leaving me. Now THAT would be the end of the world.

After fourteen years, you’re still there for me. To be the one completely honest with me.

After one month and a week, I still miss him following me around the house. Very much. Very painful.

After twenty-five years, one month and eighteen days, I’m still your little girl. And you’re still the one I think about when I need someone to soothe my pain.

After two months and twenty-two days, you still let me bunk in with you. I’m grateful.

After three years, one month and sixteen days, I’m still working to pay my debts and still clueless on what I REALLY want to do.

After four years and ten months, I’m still blogging using blogger.

After fourty-six hours since United Live, we were still doing the dance. Pfft.

After five months and twenty-two days, I’m still without a watch because I didn’t bring the watch to get a change of battery.

I wish he was still here to teman me. I saw the picture I took while we were waiting for the vet to operate on his ear. I close my eyes and I could imagine reaching my hand out to pet him on the head. I could still remember how his hair/fur feels. A little coarse on the outside and soft on the inside.
I’m scared I’d forget how it’s like to hear him snore, to see him “smile”, to give him a belly rub, to stroke his head, his big brown eyes, his wet nose, his rough paws when I ask for his “hand”, his bark, his mata sepet look, his sigh, the way he sits in the roast piglet position…etc.
I don’t want to forget.
I miss him.
I miss having him around me.
I miss having to look right and see him there lying down looking at me or sleeping.

I pray to God that where ever he is now and who is it that has him, please take care of him.
Please remember to clean his ears every alternate days.
Please remember to trim his nails so it won’t hurt when he walks.
Please remember to trim his bum hair so when he poops it won’t dirty his bum/tail.
Please remember to dry him properly after his bath because he’s a dog with a heavier BO.
Please love him even if he smells.
Please don’t harm him if he salivates all over when it’s raining or when there are fire crackers.
Please give him a towel to lie on because he likes to rub his face on the towel.
Please touch right at the tip of his nose lightly and say you love him because that’s what I usually do (and he’d be calm after that).
Please give him a light rub between the eyes and “forehead” because he likes that.
Please take him to the vet yearly for his heart worm jabs.
Please give him some antihistamine tablet or get it from the vet for his rashes, he’s got skin problems.
Above all, please do not abandon him if you feel weary of doing everything above.
Please do not throw him out of the house now that you’ve taken him. He’s not that young anymore.
His birthday is in November. He likes cakes with butter icing. He turns five this year.
If you ever want to set him free, please set him free in Green Street Homes – the second phase. I’d be really grateful.
Please love him as a part of your family because he was part of ours. We never saw him as a dog but as someone really precious.
