I’ve been SLACK! I remember to take photos of my teeth but keep putting off sharing it – although I know no one minds the lack of updates on them…but you’ve got to see the colours of my ligatures, right?
My last entry about my braces was back in September (I’m glad I created a category for this) – that was the second adjustment. So here are photos of the third, fourth and fifth. The colours are prettier if I didn’t edit them but they are photos of teeth after all, so I have toned them down.

In two short weeks, I’m back on the chair!
My incisor is coming out and saying, “Hello world!” If you don’t believe me, let me show you.
See?
Okay, maybe I need to explain a little. The top photo was taken when I first got my braces and the top second left incisor is behind the lower one. The bottom photo was taken today before my appointment and you can see that the same tooth has been moved forward.
This is all good because my bite is being fixed – but in the process, I have a slight open bite now (notice my front teeth do not meet – I’m clenching in both photos). My left molars are touching each other but my right ones are separated with about a 1mm gap? Definitely not touching.

Last week I went for my first adjustment. It’s been 4 weeks but it feels as if it was just the week before that when I got the brackets on.
Bite has shifted slightly (photo taken before appointment)
Richard looked at my teeth and said that my bottom arch is ready for a new (read: thicker!) wire. He asked me to choose my new ligatures’ colour while I waited for him to get the new wire – I thought I chose a baby pink but somehow he seem to think my choice was the same as the slightly hot pink (it’s not exactly hot pink, just slightly *hehe*). You couldn’t really see the bottom arch anyway so I wasn’t too concerned.
I asked him when is my next appointment and he replied, “In 4 weeks’ time.”
“I won’t be here in 4 weeks’ time – I’ll be away till next month.”
“Oh! Then we’d better change the top one, too, then!”

That was the short list made before I got my braces on – but as you can see, I can’t resist some of the items (and COULD eat them without pain).
Felt like having this today – it was calling out to me from the snack box.
Typical!
It’s only when I can’t/shouldn’t have it that I feel like eating it.
