family & friends

1st January 2011, Saturday
Just got awesome news from LiMay today! When I first saw her message, it came up as a preview on my home screen with her written message only, which was something in the lines of, “Guess what? Happy new year!”

Ring
I only saw the photo when I went into my inbox (the message only came through at 5 something am when she actually sent it out late last night – telco congestion, perhaps).

It’s just another day but can’t seem to shake off the newness and excitement of it being 1-1-11. My first patient of the day was our daily dispensing pick-up and it was relatively quiet…until 10 minutes before we were due to close, it turned into a madhouse next door. First day of the year and we’re out an hour later after closing time.

2nd January 2011, Sunday
Experiencing withdrawal symptoms – left phone at home and didn’t find out until I got into work. Feeling jittery.

Little star, Chloe.

by FeR on April 14, 2011 in family & friends

Kevin came over to say that he will be away for the next few days and would appreciate having someone to go over to entertain Chloe as a means to help Joanne out (so she could rest, having someone else distracting Chloe). It’s my day off today, so what better time to go see little MissChloe.

Chloe
Chloe dismantling the red bean bun I got from the HongKeeLong in Onekawa.

Chloe
She seems to like it, she went back for the 2nd half of the bun.
:hee:

She’s a cheeky little girl!
When Joanne sees her standing too near the telly, she will say, “Chloe, not so near.” Chloe will take a few steps back without looking at us…then when we continue talking, you could see her inching closer to the TV. Then Joanne will say, “Chloe, 唔好咁近!” She will take a few steps back again and then turned around and grin…
:pfft:
It’s amazing how their little brains absorb different languages so easily at that age!

Chloe
Dinner time – my fist is very yummy! *nom nom nom*
I bought some choi sum as well and she LOVED it. She loves her fruits and veggies.

Chloe
When I first met her, I couldn’t really tell…but she definitely looks like Kevin now.
:hee:

Chloe
Young genius at work…

Those who know me well would be surprised at this – FeR willing to go entertain a child on her day off.
:P

I think she’s such a social butterfly and is probably a “surrogate” god-daughter for me in NZ (I miss seeing my god-daughter grow up in Malaysia! :( )

For the second year in a row, we met up during the NewYear’s holiday and this year it’s in Taupo! I can’t wait to hit the lake! I’ve always passed and looked at it longingly but there was either no time or it was too cold to get in. We are right in summer, so I am anticipating some water action.
:)

Taupo
Ah! The lovey doveys.

Their engagement is 3 days old.
No surcharges – yay!

Taupo
A hearty breakfast to start the day.
