We thought of going to OceanSpa (it’s in Napier – last item on our pass) but at the same time, we wanted to go to Pipi for dinner (it’s in Havelock North). It’s a waste of time to go to and fro Napier-Havelock, so we thought, “We will go in, have a drink – then order. We’ll have an early dinner.”
It was 430pm. Our “dinners” are getting earlier by the day.

I was introduced to this place when I came by last year for Michael’s farewell.

Grant says the place gives you a feeling like you’ve arrived at a friend’s house for dinner. Here, he is helping himself to some drinks from the fridge.

LiMay taking a picture of the candle or Grant’s bum?

Non-alcoholic drinks from the white retro fridge.

Non-alcoholic but pose macam mabuk sikit.

Pathetic attempt to snap a group picture thru the mirror’s reflection.

The staff ke lian us and helped us take a picture.
I don’t know why I looked stunned but right before I was actually flapping my hand to get her to come closer.

This is the “back” part of the restaurant.

The entrance – red fridge is filled with alcohol drinks.

“Chup! Coca-cola!”

Anchovy pizza bread.

Medium sized Pollo pizza.
We finished everything at about 530pm. Oh well…
Decided to go back to our own places, change into togs and head to OceanSpa.

My Sasha with her new shoes (hubs) – thanks again to Alex and Samantha!
[Back to main topic]

Obviously I can’t take photos in the pool, so this would have to do. My first time here, too!
I think we were here about an hour? Our indicators were our fingers/toes. If it’s prune-y, time to get out!
But my bladder called the shots first.
We thought getting together with Alex and Samantha for a game of Monopoly after our soak – by the time we got ready (and when they were ready for guests), it was 9pm.

Dessert!

Soooooooooooooo small. And because the board is not completely flat (and stable), we can’t really touch the board while moving our pieces because we would cause the other pieces/houses to move/jump/bounce.

We had to change the rules a bit because we have 5 players – we can build houses as long as we land on our property. I never got to land on mine, despite having bought a few.

Most houses were Alex’s.
Samantha kept landing on “Chance” or “Community Chest” – honestly, never have I seen anyone do that. She’d roll the dice (being on “Chance”) and the number rolled would land her on “Community Chest” or vice versa if she started on “Community Chest” – it was funny for us but terribly frustrating for her. She had to sell “Get out of Jail” keys because she had so many!
LiMay kept rolling triple doubles – landing her in jail.
I think I landed on Alex’s property (with the most houses) twice?! Or was it three times? I know I’ve paid him at least £1500 (3 houses – £750) but I wonder if I landed there when he had four houses?

That tumbang terbalik houses – that’s the dreaded Marlborough Street.
We didn’t finish the game (we had to stop at 12am – LiMay and Grant have to drive back the next day and I have to work, too) but at the rate things were going, we’d say that Alex is the winner. Even after his £40/house payment.
It was a great three days of doing anything but work – it was good! I really enjoyed myself, I hope the rest did, too.
I was a little worried about mixing both couples together, I hope they didn’t feel that the company was imposed on them by me. Both ways.
Looking forward to more trips this year!

Haha…that was a great game. I really enjoyed everything that we did. Alex&Samantha are really nice. Such a coincidence abt their bdays
. I want those pics when we get home.
Too bad couldn’t get to finish – 3 days sounded like quite a bit of time but it went by so quickly!
