December 2009

I need to work with a “greener” company.

Honestly, the “clean” rubbish that we throw out in a day – makes me feel really bad, especially when it can all be recycled. Lots of paper and plastics.

*sigh*
:bum:

I fear that my guilt would be numbed down by the culture at work, that I would cease to care. I have asked for our rubbish to be separated and I have fellow comrades at work who are willing to help take them out (apparently it is expensive to have someone come in to pick up our recyclables ). Unfortunately, the two people that call the shots do not feel the same. I think “no space” is quite a weak excuse.

*sigh*

I brought some of the trash back from work (good old plastic displays) so that I can put it out in the morning tomorrow. As predicted, she asked, “Why are you taking out their trash?!” This is one of those times where I wish I was living alone.

Well, I can still keep them in my car and drive it out to the recycling centre (when I find it, that is).

Recycling is not hard to do, really.
Your rubbish do not magically disappear when the garbage truck come by to pick them up – they end up somewhere! And just because you don’t see where that “somewhere” is, it doesn’t mean that it does not exist! Please do not try to gain any points by telling me that the bags you use for the bins are biodegradable.

*sigh*

I truly believe that if we all do our little part, it will make a difference. Call me idealistic but you know that it rings a bell somewhere.

It’s December! Back to normal roster and this is my long week.

Friday is our Christmas work-do and on Saturday, I’m going on a mystery trip with the ladies from church. I have no idea where we’re going! Leaving at 730am, coming home by 8pm.

The year is coming to an end – time flies! Where did it go??

Achieved my target to-do for end of November (it’s all done and dusted – cleared! Wheeee!!!) but now I start all over again. I look forward to the end of May 2010.
