First day of October

by FeR on October 1, 2009 in personal

Ah! What a good month.
:P

Last leg of the year.
Warm sunny day today and it’s my day off.
I woke up to a courier pack outside my door.
:mmm:

Courier
LiMay went, “Eh! So fast…I just sent it yesterday!”
“It’s a courier pack lah…”
“Oh! No wonder so expensive!”
:pfft:
Thank you, nevertheless!

Actually, I can’t wait till the end of November.
(Those who knows my personal dealings would know what I’m talking about.)

But still…October is nice.
First of the double digit month and I am partial towards nombor genap‘s.

I called the immigration’s call centre today (don’t worry folks, I’m just preparing before time – not going to be kicked out or deported just yet. :P ) to ask about what am I to do after May 2010. Boy, I’m glad I called!
(The online business thing is a bit tricky sometimes)

I would have to apply for another visa before May 2010 in order for me to continue working (no extension applicable for the visa I applied for). I’ve been granted a 24 months’ visa instead of 30 months’ visa because of my job offer letter, which sort of implied that they are only hiring me for 24 months – which isn’t true. As far as I know, I have an indefinite job offer.
Maybe I should tease Keryn/Lynnette with this (at one point Keryn somehow thought that I was going back home for good in February and she panicked. :P )

:hee:

I won’t be able to apply for a residence visa because I wasn’t working as a pharmacist for the first 6 months (intern pharmacist tak kira) so technically I would’ve only been working for 17 months when May 2010 rolls along (I need 24 months).

Nampaknya tak boleh merayau ke tempat lain lagi sebelum Disember 2010.

Karen: hmmm…well, there are plans here and there. nothing fixed but the situation makes it a no-go for the PR for now.
