It was a very expensive month.
:hee:

The month that was.
The month that saw money flying out of my bank account (by the way, VisaDebit is a joy and a curse – because you can use it online, money goes out faster than you can say “monkey”! At least, that’s the case for me).
:pfft:

New camera
Now, now.
Work offered me a REALLY good deal because they wanted to rid themselves of this extra camera (they have two of the same colour – and since we’re not a specialized CAMERA store…) – turned out cheaper than to fix my 950 IS (which was quoted $399!!!)
We all know it’s good to have a compact around at all times (LX3 is just not feasible at this point of time).

New iPod dock/speaker
Now, now.
I’ve always (since I got here) one because I don’t want to keep relying on my computer for music (speaker is not that great as well…sorry MacFeR!) and to charge my iPod. Isn’t killing two birds with one stone?

New-to-me iPod
Now, now.
My resolution is to go jogging.
:hee:
After watching “Bride Wars” (yea! Remember AnneHathaway had one clipped on on her t-shirt?), I thought, “Oh! That’s handy!” (sorry iFeR!)
This is a refurbished 2GB unit. I wanted colour and the new shuffle didn’t appeal to me.

Fine!
I’ve not started jogging yet, to date.

New External HD
Now, now.
This I bought online (the curse of the VisaDebit!) in the States. Work colleague was going over there and it’s nearly half price! I needed more disk space anyway…really wan. She came back about a week ago and I got this on Tuesday.
:mmm:

New baking book
Now, now.
If you see the pictures of the mini Afghans in it, you’d want one, too! Furthermore, I have researched the price and it was cheapest to get it thru work.
:P

New DVD Player
Now, now.
You’d be happy to know I waited this out – and I was glad I did because the week after I saw this, they had a $20 discount on it.
:P
Anyway, weird thing happened. I set MacFeR’s DVD region to “4″ because I bought a few DVDs from the Warehouse. When I played TheBigBangTheory (which mom got for me from the States), I wasn’t prompted to change region (which was a bit weird because the DVDs were region “1″) – I thought to myself, “Cool! I guess once a region is unlocked, it stays opened.”

Wrong!

When I tried to watch House Season 4 (also from mom), I was told to switch regions!
To add to my “drama”, the DVD I bought of You’veGotMail was a region 2!!!
(Please don’t ask why I didn’t check, I just didn’t. It was cheap. End of story.)

This is why I searched for a multi-region/zone DVD player. I was told by the sales person that Philips is one of the brands that can be “multi-region-ed” – I just have to call their customer support centre (I settled it thru Yahoo!Answers :hee: )

That was August…and early September saw me renewing domain name and hosting.
