One picture for you and I.
If you noticed, it’s a bigger sized picture than what I normally put up (yes, it took me this long to realise the previous size is just too small to “appreciate” the pictures I put up) – not that you can compare the pictures now because it’s all gone. Changing directories and starting new (again!) – pictures would be bigger (I myself am getting old, can’t see nuts when my pictures are so small! )
The theme I’m working on doesn’t look like much (hey, it’s from scratch – with the help of a tutorial, no less) but I am getting the hang of the codes/commands – which ones are to be tweaked and which ones are to be left alone.
And always validate, validate, validate!
It’s going to suck the life out of me – and I don’t need to be online since I am doing it on my computer (note the “localhost” on the picture’s URL). Will look into the aesthetic part soon.
Meanwhile, my eyes, neck and back are killing me…

Yay for Safari!
I mentioned some time ago it died on me and I had to switch to Firefox. I deleted and re-installed it but nothing happened. I couldn’t even get a blank page to load.
It came alive while I was working on the WP theme yesterday – weird. But the good kind of weird, so I’m happy!
Made onde onde today (promised work colleague I would bring some in today while they do stock take – but I was late! I started late and it took longer than I anticipated) and finally set up DVD player. Made it region free, thanks to Yahoo! Answers.
I am happy enough.
Maybe it’s the warmer weather today (didn’t have to put on my jacket and socks today), maybe it’s the satisfaction of getting SOMETHING done (out of the ordinary routine), maybe it’s the comfort of the kuih that reminds me of home or maybe it’s just because I can now play “You’ve Got Mail” (watching it now) on my own DVD player (I got the DVD from Warehouse ages ago and it was imported from UK – Region 2 – so I couldn’t watch it till now).
Still peeved at the fact our degree is not recognised in the UK.
Good news to the younger generations, though. Apparently, a new version of the course is being accredited and the first students of that new version will graduate in 2011. Until 2011, the twinning course will not be accredited – but get this, BOTH “versions” of the course would co-exist even after 2011.
If you’ve signed up for a course that’s 3.5 years long, be prepared to pack your bags home after graduation.
If it’s 4 years, get your applications ready for summer/student placements for your 3rd year (or is it 4th? or both years?) so that you’d be ready (and probably get to secure a place) for your pre-registration.
If you can’t wait – Nottingham’s course is accredited.
I wish I was 8 years younger. Would just be coming to the end of summer placement.
Ah! One can always dream!
(Then again, it may just be one of those “grass is greener on the other side” moments because being a student with a whole bunch of friends together is completely different from working in a completely new environment. Eh, wait a minute…)
I think the server couldn’t cope with the traffic – I couldn’t get through yesterday to check on availability of tickets. Checking it here in the morning means everyone is asleep back home at the moment.
Half price weiiii!
Unfortunately, the earliest for that rock bottom price is flying out from KL on the 4th of March…
RM1246 (one way) is a good deal because at any other time, you’re looking at paying RM4-5k for a return ticket.
If only I needed the tickets for a non-festive trip…
At this very moment, it frustrates me that I can’t get answers to my questions from anyone!
I don’t know what’s going on back home and I WANT to know so I could plan my trip back as well. I wasn’t given any contact numbers, my phone number was not reactivated, no phone calls so far except for ONE in a span of 2.5 weeks (but I can’t say, “Why you never call me??”).
It’s okay if you can’t call – at least give me a contact number.
Ask the next best person, I get a “No comment” when I directed a “What going on?”
