I’ve done it.
I’ve upgraded my WP to the latest version. Looks the same to you, right?

Only the dashboard looks somewhat better to me (anything new is always nice!
)
Took me a while to figure out all the steps (now I know why the other time I had trouble upgrading WP – I didn’t follow their upgrade instructions) but at least nothing’s lost this time. If you see less posts, that’s just because I’ve cleared them out.
Still in the midst of putting back those html written ones – work in progress.
Need a new layout – any volunteers?
And it looks like I have to painstakingly remove all the backward slashes out of my posts – why are they there? To make life even MORE difficult, no doubt.
Got back from “reunion dinner” (with Samantha and Alex in Napier) and checked on my zhai choy. Despite not having the Chinese cabbage, okay kot.
I’ve mixed in the remaining fu juk, boiled rice, showered…now I have to change my duvet cover, “perm” my hair, paint nails gold+red and…oh, sleep!
Feels like the hustle bustle of CNY eve when mom rushes off to get all ching ching-ed.
Now I’m going to get all ching ching-ed!
And after that, prepare the bag to take to work tomorrow – must have enough space for lunch (for two) and tarts+kuih.
I need my rest!
Happy Chinese New Year!!!

In a week’s time it’s CNY! Didn’t realise it was that soon!
I think because I’m not going back to Malaysia for CNY, I sort of “forgot” about it – especially when there isn’t any CNY hei fan here.
Today I rang mom and asked her to email me the recipe for her zhai choy (the only other time I cooked it from scratch was when I was in UK but mom provided the ingredients and instructions – now I’ve to hunt for ingredients, as well as changing some of the cooking method – no frying of the thung fan and the fu chuk first…). I look at zhar yuk pictures and drool…
*sigh*
I will try to inject a bit of CNY “atmosphere” by making pineapple tarts (jam also from scratch wei!) and I’m planning to do this on Wednesday/Thursday (I’m from from Friday to Tuesday!)
Hope it turns out well!
