Our room had a garden view.

Selamat ke?

I didn’t notice that this cage actually had anything when I first arrived. I thought it was a big empty cage!

Ooo! Ganas!

It’s not even 9am and we’re in Queensgate Mall that’s just a short walk away from AngusInn.
We wanted to get coffee, have something to eat and spend time studying without being just stuck in the room.

We couldn’t find any Starbucks in the directory so we went with this.

My breakfast!

Mona seemed happy studying.

I’m pretending to not know that Mona is taking my picture when in actual fact, I asked her to help me take a picture.

After finishing breakfast+coffee and sitting down for what seem ages (it was only 1.5hours or something), we thought we’d go jalan-jalan, get lunch and go back to our room to continue.
We shouldn’t have walked into kikki.K – both of us have a weakness for stationery. ![]()
Mona left with this ’09 Diary in red and I left contemplating the A7 one just because it was sooooooo cute!

If only we came here yesterday – so much cheaper and more of what I was looking for (despite only sushi and no plain sashimi or temaki – I miss soft crab shell!)

CoffeeCreation – we were walking to the toilet when we saw this and Mona said we HAVE to go in there when we’re walking back (while I was STILL contemplating the mini diary *hehe*)

When I saw this, I thought of Sze-Mien!
*hehe*
It’s the sort that she will like (I think) and what more, it’s about coffee!

You can stir your coffee and eat your spoon thereafter.

Tea timer!
I leave my tea bags in my tea because I want strong tea. Carmen and people at work are amazed that I leave tea bag in…

Tempted to buy this and thought of Jocelyn.
Mona told me you can easily get this elsewhere so I refrain from buying till I’m flying back to Malaysia.

When we got back to the inn, we saw Pickles out of its cage.

It was pecking/chewing on the rattan furniture!

Look! Lunch!
Much better than Pickles’!

So happen to photograph this page of Mona’s diary.
I love the mood and weather indicator thing – so cute!
I’m such a sucker for little cute things…

Mona having lunch and studying.

My poor attempt to take a picture of myself having lunch.

Mona took pity on me and offered to take my picture.
I was reading (or at least, trying) about high blood pressure.

This was the SECOND Malaysian restaurant that’s within walking distance. And they were CLOSED!
We walked as far where the teppanyaki place was and the Chinese restaurant there was closed as well!
(However, walking around looking for dinner, we found Starbucks. Just beside the mall but on another side.)
In the end, we had takeaway kebab. It was a one-man-show kebab place and he doesn’t seem to know what’s customer service. I would say he was grumpy because there were a lot of orders coming in – get an extra hand mah! Don’t get pissy with your customers!

My lamb kebab with HOT chilli sauce.
And it was really spicy.
The man at the kebab place went, “It’s really hot!” when I asked for the chilli sauce (you can choose hot or mild) – most places say “hot” or “spicy” but they are not like what we’re used to back home (extra pedas!) – I thought this would be the same.
But it was really spicy. It was good though – got kick!
Tomorrow.
Tomorrow is what we’re here for.
Please pray for us!
