Maori Language Week for 2008 is from 21st July to 27th July – the theme being “te reo i te kainga – Maori language in the home”.
To commemorate the event, I noticed that they have announcements made in Maori (apart from the normal English between-show’s announcements) on TV.
Also on the news today, Google launched Maori-language search site.
The only thing I know about Maori-language (which I’ve been told) is that they roll their “r’s”. Other than that…

Today I had a pang of home-food-sickness. It was so strong that I was *this* close to flying back just to get bak kut teh, durian (honestly, I could smell it while thinking about it), satay, nasi lemak, mamak, mee goreng, chicken rice, wan tan mee, hakka mee, char koay teow, asam laksa, Japanese food, shabu-shabu, rendang or just KFC (it tastes different here – though I’ve not tried their fried chicken)…
Chap fan at Blossom…
*sigh*

Enough reason for you to fly back home, eat ‘kau-kau’ and then fly back to NZ. Hahaha
Che-Cheh:
I think so, too! But wallet cannot afford it!
Cook yourself
Eiz: want to cook also ingredients hard to come by (or expensive)…and that also don’t know if recipe will be ok or not.
