I’m afraid of heights, yea…but as long as I feel safe, I’m okay.
Sze-Mien mentioned it’s weird that I’m okay with flying. I guess mine is a “pseduo-fear”?
From far the ride seems to be just from one mountain peak to another.
I thought, “Err…the cable looks like a thin string from here, suspending the cable car!” but I could still sort of accept going on a ride.

When we got to the station, I was puzzled. The cable car from the beach looked so high up on the mountain…why are we on flat ground?
Then I saw this…

*gulp*
It goes up, up, up into the mist/clouds!

The ticket.
My palms were sweaty and for fear of losing the ticket (which would cause me to be unable to get off the ride!
), I quickly put it into my wallet once passed the gate.

*reminds self to breathe*

I was really scared leh…though I was laughing half-heartedly to “calm my nerves”
Those girls so teruk to keep on laughing at my misery ![]()
Probably they thought I was just goofing around but *shudders*…no more such rides!
You see, I was facing the lines going up, up, up into the sky (!!!)…it’s scary especially when nearing the first station, the cable lines macam vertical from the ground! Overactive (TV/movies-filled mind also a factor) imagination was telling me…
“How can such a thin cable hold the cable car? Now it’s almost vertical…what if something failed? What if the breaks give way and we fall all the way down?!!”
*sweaty palms*
Well, they do say that it’s all in the mind but it’s not as easy to shake it off as people put it. (e.g “Don’t think about it lah…” )

The view was fantastic, though.

At the first station. I’m so glad to be standing on something solid…though the strained smile does not show it.

Read the board…

…and this was before us at that time. Do try to go on a sunny day to be able to see the view from the top!
I didn’t take a picture of a piece of paper or something like that…this was exactly how it looked like.

The bridge at the top…

…that I didn’t dare to cross

Though Sze-Mien looks happy here, she’s actually saying, “That’s CRAZY!!!”

Now this is a true, “That’s ke-ray-zee!!”

The one of the left says that she’s afraid of heights. SM calls her a liar.

When the mist/clouds cleared up a bit, I managed to snap a quick picture.

Top station…it was quite a walk to get to the bridge. Probably it was the combination of being tired and scared – my legs were shaky when we got to the bridge.

The maintenance car.
If ever I was forced to take this, I’d probably faint from fear. Seriously.

Again, the one who was supposedly afraid of heights, too.
I could’ve kissed the ground when the ride ended.
*phew!*
I took a video…but accidentally deleted it! GARGGHHHH!!!
It was slightly better when I couldn’t see the cables “sticking” to the car on the way down. Was only focusing on the view and actually took the video myself! (Previously my photos were mostly taken by LiMay/Sze-Mien because my hands were too sweaty)
The girls said, “Oh! Deleted already, how? Go again lor!”
No way. I’d rather just let it be…
