Regardless of what happened yesterday (last year), I should be happy to start the new year – with new beginnings, new determination, new spirit…despite it being just another week. Funny isn’t it?
We’re all so psyched about the “new year” but in reality, if the calendar wasn’t invented…we wouldn’t even feel anything as the year passes by.
I’m looking forward to a fresh new start for this year in my walk with God (the last Sunday’s sermon came in good time!), in my career (whether with current company or overseas) and in my relationships with family+friends.
I didn’t get to do a lot of things I needed to complete before the year ended…in fact, December has been CRAZY for me. I didn’t even to collect the company’s calendar to be distributed to my clients before the year ended! Now it’s already January 2008!
Oops…
Since I only got to sleep this morning, I usually wouldn’t budge till late afternoon…but I woke up to people talking (at about 1030am!) and forced myself to stay awake because I didn’t want to be left out in anything. *hehe* Kiasu, huh?
We got to Ipoh Kopitiam (not the OldTown branch) about 1130am because the yu tau mai place was so packed! We were really hungry, so we didn’t want to wait.

Surt and I.

Keat joined us for a short while before meeting up with his parents for lunch.

*teehee* OiSin in the background having toast.

We girls are pigs! We ate more than HoeKor. Had softboiled eggs with bread AND a bowl of noodles.
ChiaLing and OiSin was speculating that HoeKor‘s food would be the last to arrive, despite him being REALLY hungry…when the rest of us were filling our tummies with eggs and bread first and we got our noodles first, too!
And true enough, the poor thing was the last to receive his order of Hakka Mee. *hehe*

My Ipoh sar hor fun.

After brunch, HoeKor drove back to Seremban and we girls…instead of OiSin and ChiaLing going back, we *ahem* went swimming. To burn off the calories because we were so stuffed. *hehe*

By the time he got back, we were still at the table. Going home to sleep? What? Since when did they say that?
This was really funny…it’s as if he was the maid at home and we were the tai tai‘s because he was cleaning while we were playing mahjong. He even refilled our teas for us! *hehe*
So much for wanting to go home first, sleep then come out again later for movie or something…the girls stayed till dinner time! *haha*
Spending NewYear’s day with the SKL at some Ipoh kopi tiam inspired places may be like a new tradition for me…look at how I started 2007 here.
