[Apparently there is another WooGaChon in Ampang? We went to the one in SunwayMentari]
As requested by the birthday girl, we went for KoreanBBQ. Initially, Taipan was mentioned but in the end, “Woo something” became our dinner spot.
[That seemed really familiar because I heard Chris' description of the place when I was in SJMC]
Which hero decided that we should have dinner at 7pm…huh? *hehe*

Sze-Mien and I arrived at 10minutes past 8pm. Hoey and JoFo arrived at near 830pm. For nearly half an hour, the people at the restaurant probably think that SM and I have got imaginary friends.
No one knows how to get to the restaurant, actually…and everyone thought that SM knows – when in fact, she told me she’s not sure/doesn’t know either. We got there fairly easy…it’s in SunwayMentari, just beside Shell. It’s a corner lot shop.
This place was chosen because it’s been said that the food is better than the one in the Taipan’s restaurant (no idea which one is it). *shrugs*
It’s my first experience and I was so excited looking at the utensils! It reminds me so much of Jewel in the Palace! Though I don’t really know what’s what and how are we supposed to have our meals…
[I just remember that we do have a "Dai Cheong Gam" in TamanDesa. Wonder if it's any good.]

This is to the hero who said 7pm.
*hehe*

Is that a guilty wave?!!

Ah!!! The costume.
I had to take a picture of other people’s server (don’t know what to call them lah…) because ours weren’t wearing this.
We ordered FOUR types of meat – beef, lamb, chicken and pork.
The “beef lovers” section has got 11 choices.
The “lamb and chicken lovers” section has got two choices – one lamb, one chicken.
*heh!*
The “pork lovers” section has got two options.
SM’s conclusion : That’s why there’s no GoddessOfMercy in Korea.
Ah!
I guessed the beef must be good!
We didn’t know which one to choose (the rest were no brainers)…so we asked the waiter. He recommended Saeng-Gal-Bi (beef ribs, unmarinated), Bul-Gal-Bi (beef ribs, marinated) or Ju-Mul-Ruk (beef sirloin, marinated) – this is what I understand from him.
*hehe*
We chose Bul-Gal-Bi because the menu says, “This is your excellent choice.”
*hehe*
I don’t know if it’s right to say that we ordered “too much”…probably it’s because we completely forgot about the side dishes that are served together with the meal. We ended up with A LOT of food…

Salad. It tasted as if it’s got wasabi in the sauce.
HuiPing really like this – it’s the first thing she finished before running into her car to have her conference call (so kesian! She only came back near 1030pm!!!)

The side dishes (BanChan). I think there were about 11 dishes in total.
Right after we ordered our food – all these dishes came…*bap bap bap!*
And our table was filled up. I felt like royalty!
*hehe*
Sorry lah…I’ve never had Korean before, so quite the katak.

*hee!*
Got little “umbrella” for our hot stove…apparently to prevent the smoke from going upwards. That sounded weird…hmmm…
Basically the exhaust is not at the top, hovering over your head. It’s at the bottom of the table – which is much better. SM says it’s less obstructing, especially when you want to talk to the person across the table.

Chilli paste (I think) and garlic.
Our server told us that if we were having marinated meat, we dip it with the light, brown sauce. If we were to have unmarinated meat, it’s more “flavorful” to dip it in the paste.
*shrugs*

Eggs! Somewhere between steamed and scrambled tasting.
Like Hoey said, “Who doesn’t love eggs?”
I think it’s called Gye-Ran-Jim (I searched for it online) – apparently complementary when you order two sets of BBQ items.

Fresh lettuce and whole green chillis.

Sweet corn – it tasted very creaaaammmy. By far my favourite side dish! *haha*
*oink oink*

Dol-Sot-Bi-Bib-Bob – gotta have this when it’s still hot/warm. The stone pot really does wonders – keeps the food inside it warm for quite a long time after it’s served.

The beef and chicken were cooked first – later came our lamb and pork.

I think this is also complementary – and it came with a bowl of rice. Really spicy but it’s fantastic on a cold day (it was raining when we arrived AND it was STILL raining when we left).

Dwen-Jang-Ji-Gae
This is apparently complementary when you order two portions of meat, too.
We were actually stuffed from the BanChan and soups rather than the our “main dishes”.

Young-Yang-Dol-Sot-Bob – very nutritious rice, indeed! Waiter explained it’s black rice.
From what we could taste and see – it has rice, hak loh mai, redbeans, ginseng, pak gor…what else huh? I don’t remember. It tasted okay but I am put off by the smell of ginseng because I don’t like it…

So-Ju – ordered this half way when JoFo said she wanted to have some. It was as if something was missing from our Korean meal. *hehe*

Sikhye – traditional sweet Korean rice beverage.
The bill came up to about RM200++…if we knew better, we could’ve ordered less (and finished our food) – I think it’s a fair price to pay for so much!
We went for coffee and cake before heading home near 130am!

I arrived home in Seremban…

I’ve got a few videos – really funny but to protect my fellow friends’ reputation (if any), I shall refrain from putting it up.
*hehe*
I’m really keen on putting the “How-to” by SM…
