So much for “catching up” with AuntJ yesterday – could barely keep my eyes open!
I probably looked weird and “stoned” because sleepy as I was (and eyes taking extra effort to keep opened), I could feel AuntJ looking at me funny. *hehe* I WAS listening, okay…just that not much of a reaction except for cringing during her “show and tell” part.
So this morning I woke up bright and early! I heard AuntJ opening the sliding door (by the way, sleeping on her couch was the BEST sleep I’ve had…since I didn’t get much rest on the bus for the night before) and I got up, too! It was about 615am? Not exactly bright outside.

Chicken making hard-boiled eggs! Quite the salah because chickens are supposed to LAY their eggs, not cook them!

Curry chicken! Yum! AuntJ said her curry chicken very laku suddenly because I’m around. *hehe*
I quote Mike, “I hate to see good food go to waste.”
If you can see the hard boiled egg – there is no grey ring around the egg yolk. Perfect eggs! Also the fact that normal tap water here is icy cold! Do you wonder why I’m saying all these things?
I read online (while researching on how to make deviled eggs last time) that to make the perfect hard boiled eggs, you have to soak the eggs in cold water immediately after they are done to prevent the formation of that grey-green ring (oxidation) around the egg yolk.
Super, right? The eggs look so good!!!
I had the first bowl of rice when AuntJ first finished cooking the dishes…then I showered, waited for AuntA to come over to pick me. While waiting, I took another bowl of rice at about 10am. *haha*
Pig is I!

Such an exciting place! To me, that is.
I felt bad that AuntA was walking around without much to buy (prolly already sick and tired of it whereas it’s a first for this jakun here) – she went around and came back to the first spot, I was still there! *haha*
I asked her if she had any errands to run because I would’ve been perfectly happy to spend my entire day there. *hehe* Unfortunately, my trip there had to be cut short not so much of the time limit but because I spent everything I had there in less than 2 hours. Pfft.

Yummy! Joey’s BBQ – this is the combination of chicken and baby back ribs. Preferred the ribs because the chicken was kind of dry.
Going back to SF later…so this is really a “hello goodbye” trip to LA.
