I’ve got a SIL!

We left Seremban at about 615am with dad grumbling about missing items. Couldn’t afford to be late so we told him that that HAS to wait till we get home later. All three of us had McD’s breakfast before heading to Tian Hou Gong. Same place that HongHui got registered, except that this is a mass registration! It’s madness, I tell you. Never am I EVER going to participate in such stuff.

We were there before the couple arrived! Thank God I remembered how to get there (if not, I’m sure I would have gotten an earful about it!)

Blurry shot with phone’s camera. Korkor‘s ring is HUGE compare to SIL’s! I saw a few couples having the same box – bought from same place lor – D&P.

I was put in charge of taking the photos – I practically had to shove some people aside to get to the front, okay? Y’see…only the couple and the two witnesses are allowed to sit in the front section (near the stage) and the rest have to squeeze at the back. Those who were late didn’t even have a seat. There were 132 couples! Thank God they were A10. Not too far off (there were groups A, B, C, D, E and F – so it was still quite a wait to get to A10!)
Anyway, when they were raising their right hands to say their vows, mom’s camera ran out of batteries! AIYORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! The aisle where I was standing were PACKED with people taking pictures. Some didn’t even budge when I said, “Excuse me.” And there were some who pushed through me. Well, I did what every Malaysian will do – push through the crowd also lor! *hehe*
When I got the new batteries from mom and the other camera from SIL’s mom (finally she’s willing to let me have it. That’s another story altogether), I turned to see the couples exchanging rings already. Whaa…??!!!

“Excuse me! Excuse me! I want to walk THROUGH!”

I had to “gently” push them aside to show them that I don’t want their “spot” but just wanted to get by. Unfortunately, the couple had their rings on by the time I got there with two cameras. The irony. *sigh* I forgot to ask them to “pose” the ring exchange for me to snap a picture.

I tried my best to snap as many pictures as possible, from as many angles as possible and as “balanced” as possible for the two cameras. Not an easy task. I found new respect for photographers. Phew!

When they finished signing the papers, we left for MidValley (I got my new camera! Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!) to wait for the in-laws to check out of their hotel. We went for food tasting at Oriental Pearl.

We had a full wedding’s dinner course! Yummy! I liked all of it except for the shark’s fin (save the sharks!!!) and the mango dessert. You know sai mai lou? It’s the mango version – it had a faint taste/smell of PCM syrup. The milky pink coloured (like sirap bandung) kind you get from the clinic when you were a kid. Well, at least that’s what I got. I remember I would ask if I could have the tablets instead. I’d rather swallow tablets than taking those nasty syrups. *shudder*

Anyway, after a OTT lunch (which ended at 3pm??), we headed home.
