I’ve not been up this early since…since…uhm…I don’t remember.
I woke up at 7.00am before the alarm went off but snoozed off till 7.15am. Jumped out of bed to have my shower (as a wake up call and also because hair was unwashed day before due to it being too late after work) and proceeded to pick JS up, 2 houses away.
[He said he's not used to girls chauffeuring him around but because he's not sat in my car before, he asked me to drive.]

Leaving GreenStreetHomes at 745am.

Phoebe’s steering wheel.

We arrived at Ming Court (I like to call it “Ming Court” but I think it’s “Min Kok” on their sign) slightly before 8.00am.
The parking lot was almost empty, with a few cars scattered here and there. JS was telling me on the way that he’s not too sure whether they are open that early – the last time he went there with Jasmine and DrLim was on a Friday, too but at near 12.00pm. We saw the cars and assumed that it’s opened but I thought it may be the workers’ cars? I drove past the main door and we saw the sign that says they open at 7.30am.
We went in and there was only one other table that was occupied. JS said it’s good to be there early because the food would then be steaming hot fresh, less noisy and less crowded.
For me, it’s good because it means more attention to the few customers – no one else to “fight” for the food.

Unfortunately, going there just after their opening hours would mean that we’ve to sit and wait for the food to get ready. The ones that they’ve prepared already weren’t what I’d like – I don’t fancy fishballs.
Thus, we sat with our luk si hiong tea and waited.
When tea cooled, first sight of “edible” dim sum (according to me) was har gau (prawn dumpling). Then my other favourite, siew mai (these are the only few things I take, actually) came along.
Yum!
JS is quite a small eater and he says he hasn’t got much of an appetite in the morning. I don’t either but it’s a different thing with dim sum (or rather, har-gau-siew-mai-salad-prawn-chin-tui-pei-dan-chuk-dan-tat-char-siew-pau breakfast).

Actually, we didn’t really eat a lot.
I mean, I don’t think we ordered a lot – maybe about 7 items? Is that a lot? Doesn’t seem like much but we were full to the brim. Could see JS struggling with his char siew pau.
*hehe*
I expected the bill to be quite expensive, dim sum is never cheap anyway – especially the one near the pharmacy – but the price was quite reasonable. Compared to JS, I think I ate much more – such a pig!
Because of that, I felt pai seh that JS footed the bill.
Thankyouverymuch! He doesn’t like his picture taken – so I’ll end this post with our table’s bill and JS (face partially cut off) sipping his tea.
